AMAZON SHORTS

Amazon.com has started a shorts program where never before published short stories are offered for download by writers whose books Amazon sells.  My story was accepted and became available for download in mid- December ’06.  It has even received a glowing review.  Check it out.

BLOODLETTERS

Bloodletters was a really cool webzine where each issue centered on a specific, horrific theme.   It was always a real test to come up with a story to fit the theme.  There were a lot of really great stories published during its short run.  It closed shop after only 5 issues.

Dream Passage

I was attracted to Dream Passage because it published stories in a number of genres (Horror, Fantasy, Science Fiction and Romance) and because it was a contest site with cash awards for stories voted best by the readers.  The site afforded me a chance to work in genres I never tried before, as well as experiment with different styles of story telling.  I began combining genres, which some readers seemed to enjoy.  Each new issue was a test as I tried to write a story in each genre for each issue.  I found that I enjoyed the different genres and wrote stories I may have never written otherwise.  The popularity of my stories led to the publication of my first short story collection.
