Dark Jesters: The Best in Underground Comedic Horror [anthology]
Nick Cato loves a good scary, funny terror tale. This was the first volume of a proposed annual collection from the guys who bring you The Horror Fiction Review. Check them out at www.novellopublishers.com. My story concerns a giant body part wrecking a city in classic ‘50s monster movie rampage style. (Can you guess which body part by the title?)
2006 Edition
“Attack of the Giant Worm” [short story- horror/humor]
Film Ex [movie newsletter]
Film Ex was one of the first publications that started publishing my ramblings. They published my first ever interview, which was with actress Belinda Balaski (who was in The Howling and Piranha and a bunch of other classic flicks that you had better of seen!). I really enjoyed writing for Film Ex and still enjoy reading it when new issues find their way into my mailbox.

Film Geek
Film Geek Editor Alan Fare wrote to me after reading and enjoying some of my stuff in Psychoholics Unanimous. Writing back, I also sent some other stuff I’d done and he immediately contacted me and told me I was going to write for FG, no matter what. I initiated the “Shock-O-Rama Film Festival,” which is a short overview of a specific, bizarre subgenre. Issue 10 has been a long time coming, but Fare promises it will be spectacular. Any film fan interested in checking out Film Geek can email Alan for info at filmgeek67@hotmail.com. I finally met Alan at the Comic and Horror Festival in Nashville, Tennessee in 2006 and he is a great guy. I thought I knew a lot about movies- this guy makes me an amateur!

Psychoholics Unanimous
I found a short review for Psychoholics Unanimous in Video Eyeball Vol. 3, No. 3, the drive-in movies edition. I wrote to Psycho U. Editor Jerrica Lee to request a current issue. Psycho U. is dedicated to drive-in movies and drive-in theaters, two of my passions. I began writing for the zine soon after receiving that first issue. I found that working for Psycho U. I had a free hand to write about whatever I wanted, which was really fun. I was not locked into reviewing just newly released movies or videos. I could write about any movie. If I wanted to write a little piece about movie posters, I could. I wrote a number of drive-in themed short stories as well as various movie reviews and short articles. I also initiated the “From Dusk Till Dawn” reviews, which took five similarly themed flicks and put them together on one all-night feature. I will be forever grateful to Jerrica for letting me join in the fun so many years ago. There is no greater joy than flipping through my collection of back issues, pulling out some random issue and reading it cover to cover.
