Comic and Horror Festival in Nashville

As always, it was a great time at Marc Ballard’s Comic and Horror Festival in Nashville, Tennessee. This was Marc’s tenth anniversary show. I had a great time catching up with friends, meeting new people and hanging out with fellow Anthology of the Living Dead contributors, editor/author J. Travis Grundon and author Justin Brock-Jones. Remember these names because these young guys are writing some great horror fiction. It was great fun hanging out with Travis and Justin, signing copies of the anthology for zombie- hungry readers.

Thank you to everyone who came out and made the weekend a blast.

This year was a little sad as it will be the final year for Marc’s show at the Tennessee State Fairgrounds. I’ve done all four shows Marc has had at the Fairgrounds and I have fond memories from all of them. The Fairgrounds will be bulldozed over in the future, and Marc will be having the show elsewhere.

SHIVERS is now available!

Can your mind withstand Shock after Shock?  My new horror collection Shivers includes ten stories written to drive you out of your mind.  They are some of the scariest, most disturbing stories I’ve yet written.

Among the stories is the uncut, full version of ‘The Clinic’, which was previously published as a stand alone chapbook.  When I put the chapbook together, I cut several scenes for space, but when I was putting Shivers together, I went back and reinserted those scenes back into ‘The Clinic’, so now the story is exactly how I originally envisioned it.

Three editions of Shivers are available.  The link below takes you directly to the publisher’s website.  Don’t forget to take the short psychiatric evaluation before purchasing your copy!

Cover for The Santa Thing finished!

I just got my first look at the cover to The Santa Thing by Peter Joseph Swanson and it looks terrific.  It is very twisted and creepy.  I’ll post it as soon as I can.

The Santa Thing is my short horror/sci-fi novel about an alien parasite invading Santa’s brain on the night before Christmas.  It will be available on December 20, 2009 from Stone Garden Publishing.
